756 for Barry Bonds

mlbBarry Bonds sent a 3-and-2 pitch from Washington Nationals left-hander Mike Bacsik last night 435 feet for homerun #756 passing Hank Aaron and becoming the new Major League Baseball home run king.

Hank Aaron's video congratulations was drenched in class.

Anticlimatic, its been talked about and talked about and all i could think was....its just another home run.....It was like anyother hes hit. If the drugs turn out to be true though, Hank goes right back on top in my book of stats.

It was anti-climactic. I keep thinking it ought to be bigger than this. It ought to be a bigger deal.

When Aaron came on the video screen and made his speech I thought it was a bit of a slap in the face when he talked about the home run being sacred and a special thing.....I think he wanted to make Bonds feel guilty a little.....Bonds and his generation have taken the home run and made it just another hit.
The fact that Selig wasn't there, maybe there is more going on behind the scenes with the steroid thing.
