HTTP Proxy in the USA

As you may have read today, ABC is now streaming full episodes of many television shows, totally free until June 30. "Lost" is on the list, as is "Desperate Housewives". Unfortunately, if you reside outside the United States as I do, you're outta luck. Or are you?
Here's a simple hack for watching these episodes from outside the USA. "All you need is a http proxy that is hosted inside the USA and does not spill your IP address." Easy as pie.

I'm outside the USA and trying to access ABC's full episode streaming, but I'm on a university network, so can't just use a proxy -- any other suggestions???
